TALKS ON SEXUAL, GENDER AND FAMILY DIVERSITY FOR TEENAGERS
ABSTRACT
When you go to give a talk in a high school, you can see how hate speeches have permeated very quickly in the discourse of many teenagers. In the presentation we will talk about which are the most common hate speeches in our adolescence and how to dismantle these hate speeches. We will also talk about the importance of the different parts in which we divide the talks, the importance of explaining well the definitions of sex, gender and family, the importance of the oppressors that make violence towards LGTBI people exist as well as the importance of explaining the history of the LGTBI movement and show LGTBI referents. We will explain how we approach a talk in a high school, how to keep the students attentive, the previous and subsequent contacts with the teachers, the importance of a second talk in case of need and why these talks have to be given by LGTBI people. The importance of giving talks on sexual health in high schools will also be discussed. Finally, we will talk about the attempts by the extreme right to discredit these talks.
